Below are some of the key terms we use to describe various elements of the Cast It Reach platform. 

This Glossary is added to and updated constantly, so check back to see if any new words or phrases have been added. 

  • Account > Your specific area of Cast It Reach, where your Campaigns and Applicant Data are held

  • Admin/Admin Side > The Cast It Reach database where clients can access their application data

  • Admin User > any User with access to the Admin Side to view and process Applicant information

  • Applicant / Candidate > someone who is applying for the show via the Application Form

  • Applicant Side > the application form

  • Application Form > The data you wish to collect from applicants

  • Campaign > Applicant Side and Admin side - perhaps one series of a production

  • Candidates view > The main view, where you can see your applicants

  • Casting Flow

  • Checkbox/checkboxes > applicants can select multiple answers from a predefined list. Questions can be formatted so that a minimum or maximum number of permissible answers can be set. E.g. ‘Select no more than 3 options.’

  • Combo / Drop down >  a type of form field where the applicant can only select one answer from a list of options, that ‘drop down’ from a menu. Applicants can deselect their answer if the question is not mandatory.

  • Radio button > applicants can select one answer from a selection of options. All options are displayed in the page. Usually, once selected, an applicant cannot ‘deselect’ their answer - they can only choose a different option

  • Single line text field > a free-text field in the application for short answers e.g. Name, Phone Number

  • Multi-line text field > a larger text box for writing longer answers

  • Welcome Page > the first page of the application form that outlines details of the campaign, eligibility conditions, legal requirements and the registration process

  • Super User > Users with the highest level of permissions for the platform. Super Users are in charge of user management (adding/removing users) and usually have other high-level permissions such as Permanent Deletion of Applicant Data

  • User management > Adding or removing user access to your Account

  • Permanent deletion > Fully removing all applicant data from the database. Usually reserved for data clean up or Applicant GDPR request
