Getting Started
Creating a new Campaign | Applicant Side
We have detailed below the basic information we need to begin building your Application Form (the Applicant Side) for your new Campaign.
Typically, we would build the Applicant Side first, followed by the Admin Side. This allows us to get your Campaign up and running as soon as possible, then work with you to construct a Casting Flow in the Admin Side that meets your requirements.
When starting a new Campaign, your CSM may schedule a Campaign Kick-Off call to discuss any complexities or special requirements you may need, such as any additional features, multi-applicant Campaigns etc.
Setup Information
For most Campaign setups, we will require:
Application form: A document describing the data that should be collected on the application form, as well as any supporting instructions, eligibility requirements etc.
Once the information has been passed to Cast It Reach, any further changes should be highlighted in a new version of the document(s) unless they are replacements for PDF documents we directly link to, such as a Privacy Policy.
Please include:All choices where the answer to questions must be chosen from a list of answers. E.g. Gender: [Male/Female/Non-Binary/Prefer to self describe…]
{This is known as an ‘Option Set’]Details of which questions are mandatory for the Applicant to answer (e.g. you could include a * to denote any mandatory questions)
Legal documents: e.g. Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy. These can be in the form of:
the documents themselves (to be hosted by Cast It Reach as a PDF download)
links to an external website if hosted elsewhere,
separate website pages within the Campaign itself (we can convert from a text document)
Please note: If legal documents have been supplied as an editable document to be converted to a PDF, we will not be able to make any amendments. If you need to change any details, please provide us with a new version with the updates already made.
Supporting text: The Application Form will consist of a few pages, we'll need the text of those pages confirmed, e.g the Welcome Page .
Email text: Cast It Reach triggers automated emails at various stages of the application process. We have default text in place, but this can be amended to your requirements.
Assets: could be the show logo if one exists and or the Production company / Broadcaster branding if appropriate. Please send high-resolution images and preferably on a transparent background if possible in PNG format. We can adjust the design of the form to match any branding as required.
Applicant Support Email address: A support email address for Applicants to contact should they need assistance with the form or any other reason related to the application process.
[Note: all email communications sent from the Cast It Reach Casting system to Applicants will be sent from notifications@castitreach.com – but with a ‘from name’ you can set. The ‘Reply-to’ email address will be the support address you supply.]Application Closing date: Not essential, depending on how you wish to advertise the casting period. Can be extended if needed (subject to contract).
Details of any promotion/CTA: We will need to know the date and time of any on-air promotions with at least 48 business hours notice. This is to ensure we protect the platform against any spikes in traffic. Please also keep us informed of any other significant marketing promotions e.g. via social media
Once we have this information, your CSM will commence the build and advise when it will be ready for review. For more information, see Reviewing your Campaign.
Note: It may be possible to begin building your campaign with just the Application Form (#1), and the other details can follow later. However, please ensure that the form is approved and signed off by all relevant parties e.g. production, legal.
